An inspiring day at the UK’s leading 3D printing and additive manufacturing event

Kaizen PLM's Kevin Holland had a fantastic day representing the team at TCT 3Sixty, the UK’s flagship event for additive manufacturing. From the moment the doors opened, it was clear that this industry continues to evolve at an incredible pace—and we were thrilled to be right in the middle of it.

The event showcased everything from cutting-edge 3D printing technologies to real-world applications that are transforming how products are designed, developed, and manufactured. Whether it’s aerospace, automotive, medical devices, or rapid prototyping, additive manufacturing is no longer a niche technology—it’s mainstream, and it’s powerful.

Here are just a few key takeaways from the day:

  • 🔧 Design Freedom – AM is removing traditional manufacturing constraints and opening the door to complex, optimised geometries.

  • ⚙️ On-Demand Production – As supply chains continue to evolve, localised, on-demand printing is becoming a reality for many manufacturers.

  • ♻️ Sustainability & Efficiency – With less waste, lighter components, and energy-efficient workflows, AM is playing a key role in sustainable manufacturing strategies.

  • 🚀 Innovation at Speed – Startups and large OEMs alike are using additive tech to rapidly iterate, test, and bring products to market faster than ever.

Kevin had some great conversations with innovators and industry leaders about where digital manufacturing is headed next. Whether you're new to AM or looking to expand your capabilities, it’s an exciting time to explore what’s possible.
